Mecha Anime and Organized Religion.
Gundamism.
if Jedi could be a religion then Gundam should be one too.
The Basic idea is that if mankind stays on earth much longer we will run out of resources,
kill ourselves through war, and ruin the enviroment.
The only way to survive is to expand into space where our souls will no longer be weighed down by gravity and we can evolve into newtypes.
The Gundam is a metaphor for the power of technology.
The Beam Rifle represents the power to destroy and the Shield represents the power to protect.
To escape from earth's gravity you have to become gundam.
This religion's equivalent for WWJD is OGGD
(Ore Ga Gundamu Da - I am Gundam)
